Special Needs Advocacy

Perspective is everything when you are experiencing the challenges of life.

In 2017, there were 324,689,000 people in the US and over 42 million had some type of disability. In other words, people with disabilities comprised 13.2 percent of the US population. The challenges of parenting are compounded for parents, guardians and primary caregivers of children with special needs. Navigating the world of special education can be overwhelming and stressful. From coping with emotions to juggling appointments, we want to support you as you advocate for your child.

Pressing On has a heart for families impacted by special needs and disabilities. We help come alongside families in the following ways:

  • Providing an initial consultation and observation

  • Assisting parents in advocating effectively for their child with special needs

  • Offering sibling and caregiver support

  • Connecting families with disability resources

  • Encouraging specific focus on abilities rather than disabilities

Individuals with special needs may be presented with obstacles in our culture, but we're here to advocate and support!
